Bishop Salvatore Cordileone: Ordained to the priesthood on July 9, 1982.  Appointed Bishop of Oakland, California by Pope Benedict XVI on March 23, 2009.  His Excellency attended St. Francis Seminary, San Diego State University, the University of San Diego (B.A.) and the Pontifical Gregorian University where he earned a Bachelor of Sacred Theology, Licentiate and Doctorate in Canon Law.  Bishop Cordileone was Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Calexico, CA from 1991-1995 and an assistant at the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, Rome from 1995-2002.
